The delegations toured SONGZ’s R&D center and production bases, engaging in in-depth discussions with SONGZ teams on core topics such as thermal management for electric buses and localized production. These visits mark a new phase in SONGZ’s strategic cooperation with the ASEAN market—characterized by "technological collaboration + industrial integration"—and showcase the global layout strength of China’s leading bus Air Conditioning manufacturer.
Focusing on Core Technologies to Deepen Industrial Synergy
At SONGZ’s modern intelligent manufacturing facility in Shanghai, the delegations inspected key production lines for electric bus air conditioning systems and battery thermal management systems, gaining insights into intelligent production processes. Leveraging its CNAS-certified R&D laboratory, SONGZ has established a climatic wind tunnel laboratory with an investment of nearly $170 million. This laboratory features simulation testing capabilities covering a wide temperature range of -30°C to 60°C, along with full environmental parameters including humidity, solar irradiation, and airflow, enabling precise adaptation to ASEAN’s hot-humid climate and complex terrains. Delegates praised SONGZ’s technological breakthroughs in system integration and energy-efficient noise reduction, as well as the lean manufacturing principles demonstrated in large-scale production. They noted that the exchanges significantly strengthened their confidence in promoting SONGZ products in local markets.

As one of the first Chinese bus air conditioning enterprises to enter the ASEAN market, SONGZ established a wholly-owned subsidiary in Indonesia in 2016, providing localized production and customized supporting services to OEMs in Indonesia, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, and other ASEAN markets. Tailored to ASEAN’s hot-humid environment, SONGZ has innovated high-humidity-resistant air conditioning systems and efficient vehicle thermal management solutions, supporting over 14,000 buses cumulatively and maintaining a leading market share in ASEAN for consecutive years.
